L’aéroport international Princess Juliana est situé dans la partie néerlandaise de île de Saint-Martin (Antilles), à l’ouest de la ville de Philipsburg et au sud-ouest de Marigot. Bien qu’il soit dans le territoire des Pays-Bas, l’aéroport dessert aussi la partie française de l’île qui possède néanmoins son propre aéroport : celui de Grand-Case Espérance. Il fut ouvert en 1942 comme un aérodrome militaire, avant de devenir un aéroport civil l’année suivante. Il est d’ailleurs célèbre pour sa piste très courte, juste au bord de l’eau, avec une approche très basse à moins de 3 mètres au-dessus d’une célèbre plage de l’île. En termes de mouvements d’aéronefs, c’est le second aéroport des Petites Antilles, Il porte le nom de l’ancienne reine des Pays-Bas Juliana.

ENGLISH : The Princess Juliana International Airport is located in the Dutch island of Saint Martin (Antilles) to the west of the city of Philipsburg and Marigot southwest. Although the territory of the Netherlands, the airport serves as the French part of the island has its own airport, however: the Grand-Case Espérance. It was opened in 1942 as a military airfield, before becoming a civil airport next year. It is also famous for its very short track, right on the water with a very low approach within 3 meters above the famous beach of the island. In terms of aircraft movements, it is the second airport of the Lesser Antilles, it is named after the former Queen Juliana of the Netherlands.
